Windows 7: DVD Drive Crashes The OS (this is different)

Finally set up an account!

Anyway, this is probably due to crash dumping not enabled. This tutorial is for Vista, but it should all still be exactly the same for Seven.

Follow this tutorial BUT change the dumping option FROM "None" TO "Small Memory Dump (64kb)", unlike in the tutorial: Disable Memory Dump Files and Save HDD Space in Vista | Windows Vista Maintenance | Windows Tools, Help & Guides

Then wait for another BSOD and upload the Minidump files (there should now be a minidump file)
