    Make Caps Lock key into a Back Tab key - Possible? How?

    Can the Caps lock key be remapped to back tab (Shift Tab).

    If it can then can someone tell/show me how

    I looked at Tweak KB & SharpKeys, but they don't seem to have it - although I may have missed something.

    thanks

    As far as I see the products cited in those articles only allow the Caps lock to be remapped to other 'modifier' keys such as Control or Alt but not to any of the 'normal' keys like the one I want - or say the '&' key.

    Did you try any of the suggestions in the links you posted - did any of them work, if so which ones and could you post a screen shot or two so I see how you made them work

    thankyou pjd

    Hi pjd,

    It took me sometime but I finally find out an answer for you. I use macros that gives me an option to type without much spelling mistakes but never used two map one keystroke to two keys.

    Here is the answer first of all go to this website and download Auto Hotkey software:

    http://l.autohotkey.net/AutoHotkey_L_Install.exe

    Once installed don't launch the software. Right click on desktop>select new>Auto Hot Key script.

    You can name it anything of your wish. Then right click the script and select edit. It would open a notepad where it ends the text just enter the below script command:

    CapsLock::+Tab

    Then select save and then double click on the script file it would launch the program in the background. Thats it now whenever the program is running the background you should be able to get Shift+Tab.

    There are many more commands that you can enter in the script and you can find more information in the help file of the software.

    Please try the same and let us know the results. Hope it helps.
