Question about ssd

Does my new ssd need to have the box checked for indexing files in order to create a mini dump file in the event of a BSOD? Thanks!

No, but it will need at least a 800MB page file to get a memory dump. I use 1024 MB.

Hi p5200,

It should create the mindump automatically. However, to ensure the same you can follow the below tutorial:

Dump Files - Configure Windows to Create on BSOD
