Will Different frequency ram affect Hdd ?

Recently, I added a new ram to my laptop with different frequency .one of it is 1333Hz and another is 1066Hz.After a few days , my computer hard disk is having bad sector , and ended up changing a new hard disk.Just wondering if the ram which caused the problem or it is just coincidence?

    Just an unfortunate coincidence.

Coincidence. Probably time to replace the HDD

Memory speeds should not affect ANYTHING at the HDD. However, you may want to reconsider having memory sticks with different speeds, as that would affect all sorts of things, internally. It's always a good idea to have matching memory sticks, even down to the brand. I'm surprised that the computer even works!! There used to be a time when you could get away with mixing memory sizes, but they still needed to be the same type and speed. These days, computers are a bit more picky, yours, apparently, being the exception.

Side effects vary. Before you see any, I would just go ahead and invest in one memory stick that is as large as you want/need, then scrap the older memory sticks.
