So, this problem started recently with my PC. Sometimes when browsing or just going through folders or even typing in Word my system just freezes, I can't move the mouse, bring up task manager or anything, basically it just hangs. And within 2 seconds, my computer reboots. This started happening about a month ago(no, I didn't install any new software or anything then). At the first couple times, it happened with 1 weeks apart. I didn't give it that much thought. But for the past week, it happens almost everyday. And in addition to all that, my computer sometimes doesn't even reboot. The blue light in my CPU just stays there, no blinking, nothing. I have to turn the power off & at least wait for 15 mins and then turn on the PC. When I turn on the PC, the first couple of times it showed "Windows has Recovered from..." in my desktop. But now it doesn't even show that. All I get is "start windows normally, safe mode" black screen when starting each time.

Now, is this a problem with the motherboard or something else? Note that, this random reboot doesn't occur when I'm playing games or watching movies(not on my Windows Drive, I keep my windows drive with softwares only). It only happens when I'm out browsing or just randomly doing anything in the desktop.

Thank you for reading. I'm eagerly & gratefully waiting for your thoughts on this annoying problem.

Have a nice day

What jumped out at me was your CPU temperature seems to be high if that is the idle temperature. If it is, it's possible the TIM (aka thermal paste) may be bad and needs replacing (TIM will get old and fail eventually). Bad or failing TIM will cause the CPU temperature to go up, especially if the CPU is being worked, even if only a little bit, and could go high enough that the CPU will shut itself down to protect itself.

Replacing the TIM is fairly inexpensive so it wouldn't cost much to replace it. I would suggest Arctic MX-4, especially if you haven't ever replaced it before. If, indeed, you haven't replaced TIM before, let us know so we can help you with it. It's not difficult but it does have to be done correctly.

Hi mate, thank you so much for your reply. But I feel a bit ashamed for pointing you in the wrong direction. See, info I took was from June. Since, then I bought a new power supply and the temperature problem was fixed.

Also, here is the dxdiag:

The system hangs can happen for a variety of reasons. I got it because of a faulty RAM stick, others got it because of faulty capacitors on the motherboard, a friend of mine got it because of a faulty HDD.
I would recommend taking a look here How can I test for hardware failures in my computer?
Best of luck!

Hiyya HDM mate post a shot of a Speccy summary I would really like to see the temps first personally.
We can go from there.

If you are after testing the RAM there is this takes along time - at LEAST 8 passes unless you get errors almost immediately of course and if you do try the sticks on their own and in different slots.

You will need to make a bootable disk and set the BIOS to boot from the optical drive.

But the Speccy stuff first please.
