If the Corsair modules were running @ 11-11-11-28 1600mhz and you've hot swapped the modules and not adjusted any settings in the BIOS, then yes I'd wager it'd have a lot to do with your issue. Essentially the BIOS still "thinks" that it's the Corsair Ram.

I'm d/ling the manual to check the exact location of the timing adjustments, but the timings shouldn't be hard to find. You'll be able to spot them in the DRAM area as they'll show as 11-11-11-28.

The first three CAS settings should be adjusted to 9-9-9 and the 28 changed to 24

What revision is your board?

Attached in the zip is the F7 Bios file extracted from the .exe it's for revision 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2

Extract it and place on the FAT32 flash drive in the root directory (ie no folders)

Well I took a shot as smarteyball suggested and I changed the numbers and look at the result : I feel REALLY stupid and HUMBLED. I thought I was hot stuff being able to build a computer and mess around with software but something so *simple* ( as I realize now ) had me stumped. I just realized just how little I know about PC's. I want to thank the two guys who stuck with me in this thread and helped me

No need to feel stupid at all mate. Enjoy the pride in the fact that you put your PC together.

We've all got to start somewhere

The BIOS is an overwhelming place to begin with. It takes time to absorb what's in there. Even then, there will always be some settings that nobody ever really knows what they do
