    Usb Problems


    Hi can anyone tell me why my Sandisk is not seen if i plug it in ??
    As you can see on computer mgmt it's there but not active i have tried but no luck

    Try going to Acer's site and double checking for the latest drivers for your model lappy.

    Hi there are no more updates for this old girl :)
    The usb was fine until i deleted everything on it by mistake ( i had some movie's on it ) and wanted to delete them only but i think i deleted some thing to do with the usb as well maybe drivers?? i have also been on the sandisk web site but no luck so far

    Go into Disk Management and see if it's there and then format the drive hope that helps.

    I have tried that but nothing happens .If i click on properties then try and do a repair ,Windows come up (as cant see the device)

    Oh well I guess the good news is thumb drives are cheap. Not sure just what you deleted off the drive so as to make it invisible? Can you rename the drive or write a file to it?

    You could try:
    (1) Go into Device Manager. Under portable devices see if the flash drive is listed. If so try "update driver software". You can also give the "Uninstall driver" option a go and see if a driver is automatically installed the next time you plug in the flash drive.
    (2) Try the flash drive on another PC. If it doesn't work then you probably have a dud.

    Not to give up so easily

    Insert the pen drive.

    Run chkdsk G: /f /r ..........from CMD (replace G by the actual drive letter of the pendrive).

    See what results.
