CHKDSK /F halts on checking HD

Hi,
i try to run chkdsk /f on c: (about 650.000 files).
On one Sector it stops and Windows must be restarted.
S.M.A.R.T. is ok, no relocated Sectors. Disk is Western Digital 1 TB.

Maybe I need a Programm to read the whole Disk to realocate then defektive Sector...

better ideas?

Thanks

1. Defragment the disk

Disk Defragmenter - Open and Use

2. Run a chkdsk /R

Disk Check

Run the Windows defragmenter first, then perform the chkdsk later.

The disk check can be turned off in O&O defrag, but I would not use it. I tried it on Windows 7 and it fouls it up badly.
Do as Golden suggested, it puts file where Windows 7 needs them to be.

EXTENDED TEST - performs a Full Media Scan to detect bad sectors. Test may take several hours to complete depending on the size of the drive.
