Unable to xfer files from SD card to computer via built in slot

I insert card but the relative drive does not open. However I can (I think as it worked last time) make the transfers via a standalone card reader and usb.

Any idea what could be causing the problem? Please!

Card not working in first PCI-E slot
Hello everybody. Since sending a motherboard in for rma is both money-sink (need to ship it to them, a replacement unit and to reinstall windows) and an excruciating wait (weeks? months?) I'd like to try absolutely everything I can before I do. Two months ago everything was working fine, then...

Unable to view UDF files in W7 after using W7 built-in writing utility
Hello all, Here's my issue. I used the built-in W7 drag and drop DVD writing utility to create a DVD with a ton of pictures I've taken over the years. It was a DVD/RW disc. I accidentally did a quick format but used MiniTool Power Data Recovery to recovery the pictures. Unfortunately, I'm...

PCI-E x16 Graphics Card to Fit a PCI-E slot.
Hi, I was wondering if anyone here has tried this, I have a spare monitor and wondering what you think about doing this. I have an OLD ATI Graphics card (fits PCIE of course) and I know it will work but wondering if it's worth the effort. My 560ti has only a 2 monitor capability and just 1...

xfer Files, dox, Progs from Xp PC to 7 PC
Okay, so here at work, our CAD machine is very old and aging. It is an old HP XP x86 system that is so underpowered, what should take a few minutes to do, is taking exponentially longer. Our company is too cheap to buy a new PC, but we do have a Systemax C2D E5400 with 4gigs and a basic ATI GPU. ...

Will a dual slot card fit?
Hey, I've finally decided to buy a new graphics card. It wouldn't fit in my current PC case, nor would my current PSU. Therefore I have to buy a new PSU and a new PC case too. I will move pretty much everything except the old PSU and graphics card (GT 320) to the new case. The card I intend to...

moving music files: copy/ xfer speed (painful)
answer is probably very simple. Perhaps as simple as, "Just deal with it. There is no way to increase the speed of file xfer" . Here is my setup. I have a wireless NAS (Thecus N0503 - neat little gadj). It has two folders: the first one was created when I directly copied (via usb) my extensive mp3...
