How do I determine what device drivers I have and update?

    Hello,
Having indiscriminately updated drivers to my AMD equipped Gigabyte motherboard, I induced enough errors to have to cause me to do a full clean install.
Now I let the install do all the drivers. I know the board came with a disk when I purchased it several years ago. I would like to upgrade to whatever USB, Ethernet and SATA updates and versions that it supports, now.
I do not wish to degrade, my now functioning system by blindly doing anything. Can someone advise me how to check the current states of these devices and how to upgrade safely and intelligently.
    Thanks for any assistance!

BTW what is faster, old SATA transfer or old USB transfer?

Go to your motherboards website to see what updates they have.

    Hello Dude,
Thanks for responding! I get confused here, it shows several revisions. The box that I have says:GA-MA785GM-US2H
    AMD 785/SB710/rev.1.1

Does the rev.1.1 indicate that I should use the (rev.1.1) versions, or can I upgrade to higher versions. At this point I am extremely wary of things I don't understand!!!
    Thanks again

The image is a good move. You can also create a system restore point before updating.

    Hey Dude,
Well nothing, outwardly appears to be destroyed {)! The network connects noticeably faster. Other than that, I don't know how to test for improvement, or if and when an nefarious problem will arise! Thanks again and my finger's are still crossed!
    Cheers,
