    NTLDR Error Messege

Trying to install secondary drive in my desktop. got it all hooked up started my comp went into my BIOS but when I go into the boot priority menu it wont let me switch my primary drive to load as the first drive, it is booting from the slave. If I disconnect the slave and restart everything is fine so there is no problem with my MBR. Any hints why it wont let me switch the boot priority?

Make sure primary drive is pluged in to Sata 1.

Are your jumpers correct on the drives?

Is this the first time that you have hooked up both drives together? Have you updated your bios to the most current

Try changing the plugs round on your IDE cable.

OK, this happened to me, too. When I went to change boot sequence, even though I have three hard drives, it would not let me select any other drive.

Then ... I noticed another screen in the BOOT section that showed ALL the drives, and only the one at the TOP of the list was also seen in the boot sequence screen.

So, I moved the drive I wanted to the top of the drive list, and when I opened the boot sequence page again, that drive was shown.

This might be the same situation with your BIOS screens.
