    Which memory to choose?


    These are two different choices I've been considering.
    G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-14900CL9D-8GBSR - Newegg.com
    G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-14900CL8D-8GBXM - Newegg.com

    I have the ASUS Z87-A Motherboard with the intel i5 4670k processor I may, do a slight bit of over clocking later but nothing heavy. I also, plan to use this cooler COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO RR-212E-20PK-R2 Continuous Direct Contact 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler Compatible with latest Intel 2011/1366/1155 and AMD FM1/FM2/AM3+ - Newegg.com any suggestions on a better choice within $100.00 range for the RAM would be welcomed I plan to order next week. Thanks! :)

    I use Kingston HyperX Genesis @1600MHz with my 4670k at stock clocks. For an overclocked 4670k the HyperX Beast @2400MHz would be a good option.

    A good idea would be to check the QVL list from ASUS for that MBoard...
    The list contains all brands approved by ASUS that have been lab-tested by them for that MBoard...

    Out of the two linked, I'd go the Ripjaws X

    Lower Cas latency and it's hard to go wrong with G.Skill

    Verifying with the QVL as mentioned is also recommended.

    I have that same mother board and CPU and I'm using the Kingston HyperX

    Here is a screenshot of the QVL list for 1866 if you want a different MHz let me know.
