Well i think i have sorted things out but now a new problem.
I got a 2nd hand motherboard from eb and installed most of my old pc parts onto that.
The sata drive wouldn't start windows so i done a reinstall and as on the old pc i thought the hard drive was faulty i done chkdsk 3 and no errors or fixes and on the backup id did the same and that was ok.
My problem now is that i tried a system image from the backup drive to new install drive but when it restarted i couldn't find windows. I reinstalled again and tried again but the same thing.
When i had problems on old pc i did a image copy using windows and wiped the windows drive, reinstalled windows and restored image ok but not on this motherboard so i think the image is ok as it worked and i never touched that hard drive.
The old motherboard must of had a problem with the usb drives as all the old parts work on this motherboard ok.
