    Samsung SSD...refresh??

I used Samsung Magician to secure erase a 840 Pro SSD, afterwards it said a "refresh" was recommended. What is a refresh, I don't see it in the Magician software?

I don't know Gary. But I'm wondering if it could be a manual TRIM command? But I also wonder if that would be necessary if you wiped the drive (writing all 0s).
I've looked at some stuff on a web search, all dead ends so far, as I'm sure you have also.

Good find but it still doesn't say how to perform a "refresh" unless they meant it say "initialize". I'm not the only one confused, although this guy has Win 8.
Samsung 840 pro - secure erase

I did initialize it with w7 disk management console, I'll run with that.
    Thanks!

Yeah I saw that one. The exact same question but no answer. "Intel Overclocker" just takes the ball and runs off in another direction!
