Battery wear level reached 42% in just one week. Am I cheated?

I use CPU-ID HW Monitor to monitor my laptop temperature and Battery Capacity. Since my earlier factory supplied Battery worn out. I bought a new battery from my nearby market. On First Day it showed 4% wear level. I didnt care much as its too less. I has been a week now. When I checked My Battery Status Today it shows wear level of 42%.I have DELL XPS 15 L502x. Is there a way to reduce the wear level. I am just surfing internet with this laptop. Yesterday I played EuroTruck Simulator 2 for Two hours keeping the Laptop on AC Supply.

Replacement batteries may be different quality. Not all batteries are equal. The "local" battery you purchased sounds like an inferior battery.

You should calibrated the battery and see if you get a more accurate (different) readings. Hardware monitor could just be reading Windows information.

    Hope that helps!
