I am using a custom PC I bought roughly a year ago. I originally had an NVIDIA GeForce 650 1GB, but I bought an AMD Radeon 7850 2GB to put in it around 6ish months ago. Previously, all I knew was Mac so honestly I didn't really know what I was doing. I never uninstalled all the NVIDIA stuff until last night (through add or remove programs). Well, I download an app called device sweeper and decide to try it out in safe mode to get rid of everything NVIDIA (I did some Googling and decided that was the best approach to take).
I have Touch BIOS on the PC and honestly don't know if I've ever used it or not. Anyway, my commands do not get recognized. I press F2, F8, F12, none of these do anything. I just get sent to my log in screen. Now ever since I rebooted that first time I do not have the same task bar color and my windows for my browsers are different as well (I guess an Aero issue?)
I also see an odd new folder in my D: drive (where I store all my docs, music, games, vids, apps, etc. [I use a 64GB SSD to boot from]) --Okay, so I just went to check on the name of the file and it is now gone; don't know if that's relevant or not.
Anyway, I am wondering the correct course of action to take. To sum up, I cannot boot into safe mode or BIOS (have tried plugging keyboard into diff USB ports and nothing changes) and I apparently didn't install my video card properly when I purchased it.
