    Help w/erratic mouse movement??

My Razer mouse has started acting up on me and I cannot figure out what is causing it. Two previous mice have fallen into the same trap. It is a mystery. Cursor movement is jittery in spots, slightly difficult to follow in a straight line, and has a tendency to lean in a rightward direction.

The methods I've tried to resolve this issue:
    1) thinking it was dust related, I've gently got after the lens with a can of compressed air
    2) swapped USB ports
    3) moved mouse to a laser mousepad
    4) (Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Mouse>Pointer Options) changed Motion & enhanced pointer precision settings
    5) reinstall system to factory condition

None of the above changed anything. Windows Update is fully updated and I do wonder if the problem is related, or if there is a conflict between drivers. When I enter safemode, the mouse movement is buttery smooth!

I am going to post some screenshots related to my mouse to see if anyone can detect anything ususual. Will post more screens if needed.

    1) Troubleshooting hardware

    2) HID mouse?

    3) Razer mouse

    4) Razer Synapse (additional mouse settings)

There is a possibility that the mouse is defective. To test this you try the mouse on another system at another location (different tabletop/mousepad).

There is a possibility that the Razor driver or your installation is bad. To test this completely uninstall the mouse, download a new driver file (check version info carefully), and then do a 2 part installation:

    • Plug the mouse in an let Windows install it's generic mouse driver. Use it like that for a while - do the problems persist? (If Windows automatically installs the old Razor driver then you did not "completely" uninstall it)
    • Then install the Razor driver. If the problems persist then try a different, older driver for that mouse.

Also: clean the mouse laser lens with a Q-tip dipped in warm water. Do not use detergent, window cleaners using ammonia, solvents like alcohol. Just warm, clean water. All of the above can leave a thin film or distort the lens.
