Randomly playing 'device failed to connect' sound

My computer randomly keeps playing the 'device failed to connect' sound. There seems to be something wrong with my USB's. I have unplugged everything that is connected via USB and something is still trying to connect. The sound is playing even when nothing is connected via USB.

I have a USB keyboard, mouse, tritton pro headset receiver box and TP link wireless receiver plugged into the USB's.
I've gone into the device manager, and every time the sound plays, it refreshes as though something is trying to be plugged in.

    Please help

    Hi mattyboy89,

    Welcome to Seven forums.

Does the issue occurs even if all the USB devices disconnected as well? Please update the chipset driver for your system.

Let us know the model number of the system you have so we can find the relevant drivers for you.

Kindly update your system specs here by following this.

Keep us posted with the results so we can advise you further.
