Antec 900 Case - anyone know how to remove the HDD bays?

I have disconnected the SATA plugs and the only thing stopping me from pulling the bay right out is the wiring to the fan (which sits just behind the grill). Can anyone advise me as to how to get the fan off without pulling the black & red wires away - they disappear into the mechanism somehow - so that I can pull the bays out completely? The wiring is anchored inside the case before it gets to the M/B, so pulling the plug from the M/B wouldn't help either.

There is a groove in the mounting region that has tabs holding the fan cables in place. You can pry them up and that will free up the wiring so you can unscrew the fan from the mount and remove it completely.

you need to unplug the molex in your picture since it is part of the fan then it comes out with the whole bay unit as part of it. like this>

I had tried that apart yesterday, but I wasn't 100% sure they were molex connectors (stupid of me; what else could they be??) so was a bit scared of pulling something apart that I wouldn't be able to get back together again and simply didn't pull hard enough!

So now have put a bit of force into it - and they came apart fine (of course).

Thanks.

oh you mean when the molex is connected to the female end on the psu? yeah they get real tight sometimes im not afraid of breaking them, im afraid of when it comes out the force i was exerting on it smashing my hand into what ever metal thing it was close to lol.

Just got mine today. 8C drop in temps. I figure 7C for the case and its layout and 1C for cleaning off all the dust lol. My recent case had the PSU directly above the CPU/fan, forming a corner. Despite having a rear exhaust fan right in that corner and a recently cleaned CPU fan/heatsink it...
