No video after reeasembley lights on button that is it

    Since it appears to be a hardware problem, I would do as Jack suggests and use the Dell forum. According to a few posts I've read, your LCD is causing the 8-beep error. There's BIOS boot time diagnostics you can run but I don't know what they are for your model. Try holding down f12 during power-on. If that doesn't work, you'll need a Dell tech.

    8 beeps, according to the Dell beep code chart I have is an LCD failure. Its video but its the LCD display.

    You were right on about the lcd ....the lcd connector tab was in the up position and not making contact with the cable. I formated the ssd and now I am loading win 7 x64 ultimate as I am typing(on a differnt pc of course) I will keep you posted on the progress...thank you to everybody who lent a hand
