Hi there ... Download the Driver from the Lenovo website and Re-install it ... That should Restore your Settings ...

Mouse over the icons in your taskbar and see if you can find one for the Synaptics touchpad (it is installed there by default, so unless you turned it off it should be there). Right click on that and look for OPTIONS or PREFERENCES or similar. Click it and you should get your settings.

You could also try typing Synaptics in the Start search bar to see if you can get there that way too.

ok when I went to accessories, I seen mood pad and pressure graph and when I clicked it says sorry Moodpad requires a synaptics touchpad and the synaptics pointing device driver, so now what should I do from her and I didn't see anything that had to do with options

What driver package are you using?
    Did you get them here:
Drivers and software - IdeaPad N586 Notebook

And did you use the W7 driver: 16.0.5.1/10.4.2.8/2.3.7.25 ?

It sounds like the touchpad is running on the generic Windows driver that comes standard in a basic Windows installation. In this case your problem would be solved by installing the driver package from Lenovo.

Is this the way the PC came when you first got it? Or have you made changes along the way?

Give these 2 things a try:

First, go to Device Manager > find your Touchpad > right click on it > Properties > Driver Tab > and then Uninstall the Driver > then restart the computer.
After restart, check the function of the touchpad. Also check the driver version (should be Microsoft).
Then install the Lenovo v16 driver again.

Second (if that above does not work)
Shut down the laptop > unplug the power supply > remove the battery > press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds > put everything back together, start up, and then test.

when I tried the firs one and it came back on it said that the driver was reinstalling and made me restart it again and after my computer turned back on the 2nd time I went to Lenovo's website to download the driver and it said access is denied and then I tried the 2nd solution which didn't help me at all. After I turned it back on after trying the 2nd solution I tired to get into my mouse settings and it said something about a driver needing to be installed so the driver installed and I restarted my computer again, it came on and when I went to my mouse settings again the device wasn't there so I just decided to delete all the folder associated with the touchpad went back to Lenovo's website and downloaded everything properly and now I a waiting for the install, I will let you know how it turns out
