USB gaming controller keeps shutting off.

    Greetings
So I bought a Afterglow xbox 360, wired, USB controller to hook up to my Laptop.
It works but after a few mins the controller would just stop working and I have to unplug it.

This is what I did so far:
I went here Software Downloads | Microsoft Hardware and installed the driver
I went to device manager and updated the driver and did necessary restarts

    But still keeps shutting off.
    Idk what it could be

Did you/have you updated your usb drivers? Does the controller work in other machines?

So I nocited that my controller was working fine for a long time, but as soon as I started my game, it started to stop working and it shut off right away.

So it works fine, no shutdowns in the xbox. It stays connected in Windows outside of the game.

Is it just the one game that it occurs in, or others as well? What game is it?

If it's just the one game, it's possible it could be just the game at fault and not the controller.

    That is correct.
The game is called PSO2. It is a Japanese game and the only game I play on my laptop. But I can try can find another game that I can test it with. I was wondering if the controller is over heating or something, but I never thought that they could over heat and shut off.

No, it wouldn't be due to heat.

It's an issue with the game itself. Unfortunately I don't know of any current fix for it.
