    What is Marvell Miniport?


    I bought a used Dell Inspiron 6000 with Windows 7 and I was cleaning out stuff that the previous owner had that I don't want.

    One item is Marvell Miniport Driver.

    I found tons of sources online but none of them explain what it is.

    Anybody know?

    It might be a driver for an external SATA drive. I have a Marvell driver for that on my PC. It isn't a big deal to leave it there if you eventually want to use an eSATA drive, or you can delete it if you don't plan to use one.
