    Hard Drive Clean Up

Hey there, i ran the "hard drive cleanup" from the control panel to see how much space i could save, it was at 240mb which i wasnt bothered about, i then saw an unticked box named "temporary files" which had a mere 10.4 gb's to clean, is it safe to delete these files? or will it mess up my system? cheers.

Apologies if i posted this in the wrong section.
