Regedit Permission Issues!!

I've followed all kinds of tutorials so that I can edit a registry key, but no matter what I do, i get the following message when I edit it!

"Cannot edit ProStat: Error writing the value's new contents."

Please explain to me how we can get full permissions as Administrator (Yes, I am Administrator already) to edit our registry. Thanks!

Try starting regedit from the 'run box'.
Which key are you trying to edit?

Also, try right clicking the key, choose Permissions and give yourself full control.
