Microsoft XBox 360 Wireless Receiver Not Syncing With Controller

    That's basically the same instructions as what I've tried. And I don't own a plug and play, and I'd rather not buy one unless I KNOW that it'll fix the issue.

    that wont fix your issue if your controller is genuine as it uses the rf signal that only the proprietary receiver puts out. is your controller fake too?

    The controller (I believe) Is real. It has the authentic Microsoft/Xbox holographic sticker on the battery bay. It came from the Halo 4 edition Xbox, and I got it off of eBay.

    Try reinstalling the drivers, use a different USB port if you have one. I am lucky I have a clone receiver and an Original receiver and don't have issues with it installing

    If that don't work, find an Original is all you can do.
