well I have a memory stick with 8GB but in the properties of the computer it says that only 3GB are usable and I am wondering how I can be to use all the 8GBs
There we go; now; I believe you can try to do a format of the memory stick and hopefully it will allow you to use the full amount of memory. If it doesnt its probably because there are files on the stick that may be write protected possibly.
well then how do I format the memory stick?
I found a thread about something called Resource Monitor where it says that 5GBs was "Hardware Reserved".

With Windows X86 (32 bit) it is only capable of using 3.5 GB of ram address space. 64 Bit Windows is capable of using all 8 GB.
Thanks essenbe.
