will cloning my hdd to ssd delete my files?

    The C drive is what the OS boots from hence it can't be formatted. The HDD should be given a different letter. Disconnect the HDD, boot up, shut down and reconnect the HDD and see what you get.

    One possibility is that you did not bring the system partition from the HDD to the SSD and it is still booting from the system partition on the HDD. Post a picture of Disk Management so that we can evaluate the situarion.

    I can't remember how I did it but I fixed it, as I cloned it they was the same but the letter 'c' was differnt, it was working except they just switched the letters overn very confusing haha thanks guys!
