hi everyone happy new year to all.my question abt ram ,can we mix the ram frequency like 1GB PC2-6400 DESKTOP RAM MEMORY ddr2 240 pin to 800mhz 2gb or 4gb.kindly if anyone know abt this .thankyou.

You can but it will all run at the slowest frequency. Not worth it. Dimms should always be exactly the same for best performance.

thank you for your feed back but i want to increase my system ram. at the moment its 4gb its got standard graphics card. just want to 8gb and 1gb graphic card.thats why i was asking.

Will Different frequency ram affect Hdd ?
Recently, I added a new ram to my laptop with different frequency .one of it is 1333Hz and another is 1066Hz.After a few days , my computer hard disk is having bad sector , and ended up changing a new hard disk.Just wondering if the ram which caused the problem or it is just coincidence? :(

Maybe it was like this before, but if so, I must not have used the right means of monitoring, because now using CoreTemp or AMD Overdrive, I've noticed that even though my Phenom II x6 1090T is rated at 3.1GHz, it varies between .8 - 3.2GHz, depending on it activity. Shouldn't a CPU's frequency...

Maximum Frequency Below 100%
The maximum frequency can be found by going into the resource maneger from the task maneger. I know it is below 100% for laptops running in a power saving mode but it should never be belwo 100% for a desktop should it? It's not like im running a ton of processes and my core temps are 25c or below...

Hey guys just a quick question I just bought a new Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q8400 and I'm lookin on CPU-ID and Core Temp and my processor goes from running at a core speed of 1994.4 with a x6 multiplier up to 2659.9 with a x8 mulitplier....my question is is this normal or have I done something wrong?...
