add touch panel to a GE60-0ND laptop

Hi,

Can i add a multi touch panel to my MSI GE60-0ND laptop?
It has got a 15,6 inch monitor @1920x1080, powered by Intel Graphics HD 4000 + Nvidia GeForce GTX 660M.

Hello Nik,

Yes, but you would most likely need to install the touch drivers for it.

Any touchscreen monitor should be fine to connect to the laptop.

Just be sure to check that the manufacturer has Windows 7 drivers available for it, and that the monitor has the same input connection (ex: HDMI) available that your laptop has an output connection for.

I want to add a touch panel to my laptopīs integrated screen, making it a touch-screen laptop.

Usually, that may not be possible. You would need to contact the laptop manufacturer to see what they say may or may not work with that specific model number, if they say it's even possible.

You're welcome. Laptops are so restricted and proprietary, that it makes is almost impossible to do customize like that.

Hopefully the manufacturer may have a touchscreen option available.

ASUS - Touch Panel doesn't work?
Hello everybody. I got an ASUS N50Vn aka X5AVseries.. On the top of the keyboard I got a "touch panel" where I can control the volume, change the computers performance and so on. But after installing Windows 7 it doesn't work. Anybody knows what to do? Maybe a speciel driver I need?
