Hey all, i have a very annoying problem where when im trying to play my game (league of legends) my mouse will randomly skip or stutter which causes huge problems as its a point and click game... i know its not the mouse itself cause I've already replaced one mouse that was also doing the problem. Its not batteries either. The current mouse im using is a wireless hp comfort mouse and the old one was a wired basic Logitech mouse

When i did that it seemed to just install some software called 'hp mouse suite 2.1', did i do it correctly? I just downloaded, ran it and followed the on screen instructions.
Did the driver update fix your problem ?
If not ... optical "mice" do not like some surfaces, even though we think they should.
Mine do not like, the knots and dents in a varnished timber top, uneven, to-shiny or wrinkled ... surfaces.
And disappointingly ... technical progress produces less and less "life" into devices.
How old is the HP mouse?
no the update didnt fix the problem, and the mouse is new only 2-3 months old, i also use a mousepad so it cant be the surface.

I am not a software expert ... but one more offering.
One of my rigs has a wireless mouse with the WiFi adaptor in a USB port. (To replace a corded mouse)
The adaptor at first was in the back of the box along with a lot of other USB connected devices.
I had no end of trouble with the mouse, until I moved the adaptor onto the front of the box.
(And yet other rigs with the same wireless-mouse-adaptor work OK)

well my pc is all-in-one, and has the ports on side or back, currently the mouse is connected to the side usb port. i've tried moving it to the back ports and it hasn't helped.
I'm having a similar though not identical problem and have tried a lot of the same stuff to no avail yet - but double check that mat: is it specifically designed for optical mice, and how pristine is its surface? I'm planning to try an "old" wheeled mouse and see what effect that has.
Have you had the problem all along or did it just suddenly start (as it did in my case)?
Someone also suggested clearing and reinstalling the graphic card driver.
Hope you sort it - I know how irritating it is!
Hi All, i've had similar problems with my new Logitech MX800 mouse/keyboard. I've tried many suggestions I found on many forums but no luck.
It turns out the USB wireless receiver was a bit too far away from the mouse or something interfered with the signal. I bought a USB extender cable, plugged in the wireless receiver, put it closer to the keyboard and mouse and it is all working fine now for 5 days.
