Windows 7: My Computer doesn't recognized my usb and not listed on the devicemngr

happened with my original RAT 9 mouse.. sent it back for rma and got a shiney new one. guess the light was on but nobody was home.

Hey i know this is a old post but, this just happened to me as well with a slight difference. I pluged it into my g46 laptop and its not responsive at all. the lights are not coming on and its as if its not even plugged into the computer because its not even being shown in device manager. all my usb ports work, tested them by plugging in iphone.

I cant update drivers unless the device is plugged in and recognized because thats how the updater works :/

some help would be lovely

When i plug it into my desktop it works perfectly fine. Laptop is the one with the problem

Do a drive cleanup and check whether it resolves the problem.

Homegroup libraries only partially listed on 2nd computer.
Desktop comp. is Windows 7 Pro x64, laptop is Windows 7 Home Premium x32. Login passwords are the same. Homegroup was set up on the desktop, the laptop then joined. Homegroup passwords are the same. Both are members of "Workgroup" and are set as "Home Networks."
