bluetooth dongle problems Drivers? defective product?

hello 7 forums, i recently purchased a blutooth dongle for a wireless gamepad i have and it came with an install disk, it said to install the software and then plug in the device implying to install said device drivers without the device plugged in and that if ylu get a message no blutooth device found to hit cancel and that it would be finished. I did this and it didnt seem to install anything due to there being no device plugged in so i figured that they had some non native english speaking person writhe the instructions for us english speakers (im in finland) so i once again run the install and it finally does something and installs the drivers, or so i thought, throughout the install process i notice the dongle is flashing every 10 seconds or so and i get the little sound that something has been disconnected and then plugged back in, so i have the feeling that it is rebooting through all this, however when the process is done i restart and plug in the device and it continues to do its little thing which is getting really annoying right now, and the little blutooth tray icon keeps popping up and then disapeering. it will hang around for a while and ill right click on it and a menu comes up to turn on the Bluetooth device and nothing else, i click that and it goes off its cliff continuously rebooting, i look at the device properties in the devices and printers window and i get a massage in its properties tab saying device failed to initialize and when i uninstall the WIDCOMM bluetooth software and try with the broadcom device driver installer and manager, it said "could not start microsoft blutooth stack. please reboot your computer and try again" any ideas? im really starting to get pissed at my computer, but then again, when are we not mad at these things
