Un-detection of my ext 1TB BUFFALO MiniStation HD-PCTU3 3.0

Recently, I plugged in my ext 1TB buffalo HDD, but my laptop shows no icons of it. The HDD is still properly blinking its light when connected to the main usb port of my laptop.
Already trying countless solutions from multiple google searches, but still find no effective ways to access my file system in my ext HDD.

And when I tried it on another computer, it showed the same situation too. So I tried my friend's same model HDD wire, it was still the same. T___T
People might say it's physically damaged, but I never dropped it before. Thus, I really hope someone can help me.

Here's my system info
OS: windows 7 Home Premium

here's my screenshot when using Partition Wizard, but no external device detected by it. TT

In disk management, it shows no capacity info of 1TB of my ext HDD.(might be Disk 1)

You tried your friend's same model HDD wire. Did you try that HDD itself? If it was OK on your PC, then we can rule out any problem with your PC and concentrate on your external HDD.

Alternatively, you can try out any other external HDD/ pen drive and tell us whether those can be read and written.

yeah, I have exhanged my friend's SAT wire to my HDD, but it still shows the undetection condition whether in my laptop or my friend's laptop.
I have tested my pendrive, other ext HDD devices to my laptop, they showed no problem in connecting.

Anyway really thanks for having replied. So far can't find any effective solution. T __ T

Ok, let us explore further.

Remove all other USB drives. Plug in only your Buffalo .

Check whether it shows in Windows Disk Management.

If it is the same as what is shown in your first post, then right click exactly on Disk 1 - that is onto the left-side in the disk map - and try to bring it online.

Note: Please use Windows Snipping Tool to capture the screenshot and upload.

I'm going to bed now and may be others will continue to help from here.

Yes, I had followed your instruction by plugging the only USB device of my HDD. But the disk management is still showing the exact same situation of the Disk 1 with (unknow, not initialized). When I right click on it, it only gave me the options of "offline", "properties", "help". When pressing "offline", it showed me like that
And the disk 1 showing one down arrow icon? what does that mean?

Was there an option to initialise it?

yeah, but I am not able to press it. The "initialize" option is in grey, that not allows any click on it.

OK, I thought as much.

In the only thread in the Buffalo forum with another user having an identical problem, the recommendation was to get the HDD replaced under warranty. External Hard Disk not initialized

So what now? I would make a last ditch attempt to see whether Linux could see the drive and retrieve any data.

Download the latest version of Lucid Puppy (Ubuntu compatible build) lupu-528.005.iso (132.6MB) from Download latest Puppy Linux release

Prepare a bootable pendrive with that ISO using Rufus Rufus - Create bootable USB drives the easy way ( Back up all data on the pen drive beforehand for you will lose all of it when Rufus formats it)

Boot your machine with the pen drive with your buffalo drive plugged in and check whether it can see your drive and access the data.
Lucid Puppy way to recover files from a non-bootable computer

I have no other ideas on the problem.

Good luck.

EDIT: I just forgot to ask whether you were using the security lock of Buffalo that perhaps came bundled with your drive.
