External hard disk remains off when Windows leaves the suspend mode
I have a problem with my external hard disk (Western Digital Book studio). The disk is connected by firewire with a Windows 7 (64bits) system, and It works fine after the boot of the system. I configured windows to start the "suspend mode" after 30 min. without activity. When the activity returns, Windows leaves the "suspend mode" but the disk remains idle. Windows does not see the disk until a system reboot.
The problem does not happen with an eSATA connection between PC and external disk.
I want the disk to wake up with the system using firewire port. Any help will be appreciated.
