Laptop won't charge the battery

Hi guys!
i recently purchased an used NC4400 laptop for work....

i chose that model because i have several years working with it and is one of the most rock solid laptops i ever have tried...

but this time i think the seller sold me a defective one...

the seller sold me this one without battery and without charger, its ok for the price (70bucks) i already have couple of those batteries around there and some chargers...

when i receive it, i plug it to the ac and after 20 minutes notice the laptop donít charge the battery, i tried another battery and the same, i decide to try the battery in another nc4400 i have and it charge it fine.... so is not the battery, and is not the power adapter...

i checked the BIOS and it is exactly configured like the others nc4400 i have here.

what is wrong here?

Thanks in advance!

Well it sure sounds like the issue is with the laptops charger and that's not a good thing, but the laptop runs fine off the ac adapter?

HI!

Thankls for the answer!

The laptop runs fine with the ac adapter and with the battery, both and separately.
its like there is something that its just not passing the current to the battery

No it sounds like the OP is charging the batteries off another lappy the same model. But if the lappy discharges the battery and he plugs the adapter in then the lappy runs only off the adapter and won't charge up the battery from this newest purchase.

I think you're right always look to the physical connection issues first then go from there. Most connections are spring loaded to make proper contact. So look to that first and then move on to a bad charger second.

No, it keeps the charge (its not a battery problem, it does it with other batteries too) but it does not charge it.
