R.A.T 5 (5600 dpi) stop tracking

Hey guys,

I had just recently purchased a R.A.T 5 (5600 dpi version) mouse and it was working perfectly fine for around 2 months until it just suddenly stopped tracking and would stay in the same spot on the screen. All of the buttons still worked fine and so did the macros that were set. There were no previous issues with the surface used (logitech g240) nor were there any signs of oncoming failure.

I have already tried cleaning the laser with isopropyl alcohol and compressed air, uninstalling/reinstalling driver and software and have tested it on another computer.

note that I have taken great care of the mouse. ie: I have not dropped it, have kept it clean and free of dust etc...

ps: After waiting around 8-12 hours or so, the mouse will work for around 10-15 seconds if I plug it in again, however, it will just suddenly stop and show the same issues.

Please help me out if you think you know how to solve this problem :s

Thanks in advance!
