Keyboard always stops working

Well, I've alrady replaced keyboard usb input to another one, and it still doing that, but not very often, like my old one was doing in all usb ports... Anyway, it started one day... My friend and I were talking on skype and thinking about going to play a game, and... suddenly my keyboard (old one) disconnected and I heard that sound when a device is unplugged, but then it connected again and worked well to the end of that day, but... Next day my keyboard disconnected and connected many times, first it disconnected and connected after several seconds, after that when it disconnected, I had to turn off power supply and turn pc again and then keyboard worked, for a moment... And after few more disconnects my keyboard (old one) didn't connected back for hours till I turn off pc and on it again. And before these days my keyboard always worked without any problems with the same copy of windows, so I don't know what is the problem... First I thought that I need a new keyboard, well, it worked without any problems first day, but next day it disconnected first time, and started doing that all the time. I installed many, many drivers, but still the same. And few days after that when I turned on pc, suddenly my keyboard started disconnecting and connecting back very fast, and my mouse (I don't know why) disconnected too and then after few minutes my mouse and keyboard started working again, but it's really annoying when very important device like keyboard do this "shit" all the time :"(. So what can it be???

1. How many USB ports do you have on your computer, and what are all the devices you have plugged into them?

2. OK, so Windows was sending a sound that there was a connection and a disconnection rapidly. Were you getting an error message something to this effect... "One of your devices has stopped working and windows has disabled it..."? If this happens, the device will be shut down. Upon restarting Windows it will work again if it does not still have the problem.

3. When you looked at the yellow exclamations in Device Manager, did it actually say that USB drivers were missing? Or perhaps it may have said that the device had been disabled? It doesn't make sense that the drivers should have to be reinstalled over and over although if a device isn't working then Windows can't figure out what the device is.

4. What may have happened was that one of the devices was malfunctioning and windows shut it down. I am not sure, but I think this will also shut down other devices on the same usb hub. I do know that if one USB port has a problem, such as a power short circuit, it can affect other USB ports/devices as well. Perhaps this is why your mouse and keyboard are both acting up. It may not even be your keyboard, it may be the mouse, or it might not be either the mouse or keyboard, but some other device that is actually causing the problem. Or it could be a piece of material fell into and got stuck in one of the USB ports, or perhaps a port plug got damaged or there is a bent pin. That is why I am asking all what devices you have plugged into USB ports. That is also why I ask you to try different USB ports. Maybe several ports are being affected, but not others. So try different ones for both the keyboard and mouse. I know on one of my computers I have 5 USB ports and 2 of them got knocked out by lightning (jumped over from the adjacent Ethernet line) but 3 still work. So it took me a while to figure out why some of devices were not working, but now that I know which ports are broken and why, I just don't use them. To make sure it is not other devices, if possible, disconnect all other devices from USB ports. If you have a different mouse to try, do that also. Or try typing into a document without the mouse even plugged in to see if you still have the problem with the keyboard. Since your keyboard is brand new, it should be OK. I know it is very frustrating not having an input device. So in summary, I would try disconnecting all devices from the USB ports, then only connecting the keyboard and see if it still has problems. If so, try a different USB port until you have tried all of them.

so hard now to write with on-screen keyboard because keyboard doesn't even work now, i restarted pc and windows cant install drivers. anyway, i did almost all these things. i have 6 usb, 2 blue usb, i think its usb3, and 1 usb on cards thing, i dont know how is it calls. so i tried all usb except these two blue usb. how i wrote before, when i was having the same copy of windows, my all devices were working just fine, and then my keyboard started doing disconnecting. i have mouse, keyboard and wi-fi adapter connected to usb. and in the past few days my keyboard was disconnecting without any error message, but today when my keyboard started doing that again, i got many error messages which said "usb device not recognized" and then i unplugged my keyboard. by the way, when my keyboard didn't work with these error messages, my mouse were freezing for a second all the time, then i unplugged the keyboard. all my devices were working just perfectly, and i didn't touched them at all, but day everything got changed...

You can rule out Drivers that is not your problem .. As a test get a USB PS/2 Adapter for the Keyboard .. And use the Mouse on the USB Port ... I have been reading lots of Posts about your Motherboard the problem you have is quite common .. Of course you want a fix there might be one but please try this option first ..

yeah, i've already tried this option with usb-ps/2 adapter. and may i ask you what is other option?

Hi there .. What was the outcome when you tried with the Adapter .. I hesitate to suggest the other Option .. But if you feel you have no other choice a BIOS update might help ... On the other hand could make things worse ...

everything was the same as now, my keyboard still haven't worked. and if after this option to update bios, if it make5things worse, i could easily reinstall windows and everything will be the same like before updating, isn't it?

and now, when i plugged in my keyboard, windows started installing this device drivers, but it came out with red X and wasnt successful. and now i always get this error "usb device not recognized" and this sound when the device is pluuged in/off(out) and my mouse started freezing as well, and it happens every second, and now when i unplugged my keyboard mouse works just fine. i dont know what to write else.

There is no Guarantee with a BIOS update on some system you have the option to roll back .. It could possibly wreck a Motherboard ... To be honest a had a similar problem to yours awhile back eventually other things started to fail .. The Motherboard has just reached the end of its day ..

so it means i need a new one? but how, how can it be?! all devices works fine but only keyboard doesnt, so what the ****?..
