Trying to learn all about COM Ports, etc.
Found a really nifty little freeware program that seems to list just about everything imaginable about all of them on PC. Called: usbdeview-x64 in case anyone else is interested.
It use the terms: "Hubs," and "Ports"
What are the differences between Hubs and Ports, please ?
(are Ports the COM Ports ?)

A hub is typically a USB hub that plugs into a USB port on your PC and provides 2 or more additional USB ports. A COM port is typically used to refer to an older port that most new computers no longer have, called a Serial port. It typically used a 9-pin connector and needed to be configured for the device that was connected to it with parameters such as baud rate, bits, parity and stop bits. Serial ports were used for connecting many of the same devices that connect via USB port today but USB is superior to the Serial port in every way.
