2.5" Hard drive not working

Hello everyone!

I'm new to SevenForums and I hope this thread is in the right place

Yeah... Maybe 5 or 6 months ago, my laptop's HDD died. I couldn't boot to Windows, but I could boot to Medion Fast Boot OS. But since I couldn't access any of my files (pictures, movies, songs...) I thought the HDD is dead. I gave the laptop to a person who fixes computers and he simply replaced the old HDD with a new one. He gave me the broken drive back, of course. Now, I was thinking, maybe (with your help) I could fix the hard drive. The model is Hitachi 5K750-750, and as you can see, it has a total capacity of 750GB. The methods I tried to fix the drive: connect the HDD to a laptop usind an SSD case, it didn't work, the laptop couldn't recognize the drive. Second method: I connected the drive directly to my PC's motherboard. I can hear the magnets spinning inside when I connect the power cable, but my PC cannot recognize the drive aswell. Neither in the Device Manager or Computer Managment.
So here I am, asking the smart crowd, is there any way to fix this? Has anyone encountered a similar issue? If you could give me any advice, I'd really appreciate it
Thanks!

you tried one of these Amazon.co.uk: hard drive dock

the docks are great for connecting old drives.

when you connect the drive are you getting nothing at all under my computer? no register of a second drive?

Well, I tried with one dock, but it didn't recognize the HDD. When I connect the drive, I don't get any notifications, whatsoever.
