Laptop will not wake from sleep
Some background: at the end of January, I came out to San Francisco for a 12-week programming bootcamp. The laptop I owned was falling apart and running excessively loud, so I asked a friend if I could take his old computer with me since he just upgraded to a new one. It is a Fujitsu LifeBook T5010 (Wacom enabled, convertible tablet PC), and I wiped it and installed Windows 7 Enterprise.
It will not wake from sleep. It has been like that ever since the install, and I have tried a bunch of things to fix it. But first, here's what happens. I close the lid, press the power button, or click the sleep button, and the screen will fade and light on the power button will turn off. Then 2 seconds later it will turn back on, the disc drive will start spinning, but the screen stays black. The little light for scroll lock blinks for no apparent reason too. There is nothing that can bring it back other than holding the power button, and starting fresh after Windows yells at me because the device wasn't shut down properly.
Here's some info about my computer. When I run powercfg -devicequery wake_armed, I get a list of nothing. Just a blank output. I think something used to be there, but I disabled them. In device manager, I have looked through all my network devices, bluetooth, USB hubs, and unknown devices, and none of them are allowed to wake the computer. Powercfg lastwake returns "Wake History Count - 0". When I run powercfg -energy, I get 2 errors, one saying that my Generic Bluetooth Adapter is not entering suspend and another saying my USB Root hub isn't entering suspend. Could those be the problem?
Another note, I tried hibernating, and it did the exact same thing. The only difference is that it saved my state when I turned it on after holding the power down.
If anybody has some insight on why this might be happening, that would be awesome. If you think some screenshots or anything would help diagnose this, please let me know. This is a really frustrating problem to have, because it takes forever to get everything I need up and running from a fresh boot up.
