Win7 RC x64 crashing when more than 2GB RAM
CORSAIR TWIN2x4096-8500C5 (2x2GB 1066mhz RAM on the Shuttle APPROVED list of RAM for my system)
I am running an Athlon XP 3800+ x64 w/Windows 7 RC x64... nothing is overclocked.
The issue is that the memory passes memtest when installed individually, but when both are in the system I get a BSOD after 5-30 mins, I can't even run at 800, let alone 1066. I have been deferred away by CORSAIR for this issue since it passes memtest... Also, if I manually set the clock settings, I don't have the option to set just some of them to auto, its all or none.
Plus, I am only given timings for 5 of the 10 values. When I set those 5, then my comp won't boot and I have to reset BIOS, the 5 values i don't know what to set at are below.
Here is a tech support thread from a few months ago when I was trying to get it figured out... don't have any idea what to set for other timings, and if left at default... then BSOD. help?
I have tried different RAM since and in all DIMM locations and had the same issue when both DIMMS are installed, I think it is either a voltage issue or a mobo issue at this point. I really just need to know what to set for the above timings since I can't just set SOME of them to AUTO... it is all or none.Technical Support Please update the BIOS to the latest and try the followings:
DDR voltage: 2.1v
Memory Frequency: DDR2 1066
tCL: 5
tRCD: 5
tRP: 5
tRAS: 15

TwTr: 1-3 clocks
Trfc0/1: 75ns-195ns
Twr: 3-6 bus clocks
Trtp: 2-3 clocks
