Thank you for responding. I downloaded the driver software from - Driver Details | Dell US. Then when I restarted I got the messageImaging Devices - Unknown Device-untitled.jpg(searching windows update) and then the messageImaging Devices - Unknown Device-untitled1.jpg(update failed). And in the device manager, Imaging Devices - Unknown Device-untitled3.jpg (search automatically for updated driver software) I get the message that Windows has determined the driver software is up to date. However when I chooseImaging Devices - Unknown Device-untitled4.jpg (browse my computer) I get the message that Windows has encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device ATTACH]306966[/ATTACH]

I don't know why my images don't load properly as I'm following the instructions. (Paste to Paint, Brouse, Open (repeat if more than one image) then upload.) I tried enlarging the imagesImaging Devices - Unknown Device-untitled1.jpg

Maxie, I have found that if you click on the OP's image, then wait for it to open & then left click on it again it enlarges the image to be able to be seen very easily. I hope that helps you.

Jmrpjb. Does your Canon camera have a software DVD?. If it does then load that onto your computer & read any manuals that may be included on it. It should also have the necessary drivers as well.
If not, try going to the Canon camera website & see if you can find the right drives for your camera & follow any download & installation instructions.
Before loading any new drivers it would be a good idea to go into device manager & uninstall those 2 unknown devices.

I am glad that helped Maxie, it was really only by accident that I discovered that, as I had a job to read them as well. My eye sight is still OK but I really couldn't read them, easily.
