    Touchpad needs to turn off.

I want to turn OFF the touchpad on my laptop. I can't find where to do that. Ther are 3 drivers in devices and disabling one at at time, one of them can get the USB wireless mouse to stop but not the touchpad.
Where is that done? Used to be with the control panel mouse but I don't see it.

Normally there is a button on your laptop keyboard to turn it off. And if there is, a drawing of a touchpad is going to be on that key.
    Such as FN + Y or SHIFT + 6.

Need to Disable Laptop Touchpad - My Solution

Go to Drivers | Synaptics and downloading the Synaptics Laptop Mouse Driver. It worked for me in allowing me to disable the laptop touchpad so that it would not interfere with my wireless mouse.

    Kinda the same problem...

I have a HP G60 laptop, and after doing a clean install of Windows 7, my Synaptics touchpad wasn't always working, I tried to update the driver by going through Device Manager and all that, but it just told me my driver was already up-to-date. I went online to the Synaptics site, and as I'd suspected, there had been a few driver version updates since my current one. After downloading and installing the newest version of the driver, I discovered that while my scrolling problem was fixed, I could no longer disable my touchpad by pressing the dedicated button on my laptop. If anyone can help me regain function of this button that'd be awesome. Thanks.
