    dynamic disc invalid

I have a 3tb internal drive which I had to work hard to get my PC to recognize in the first place.

I have since re-installed windows 7 - the drive WAS working, but overnight it has stopped working.
When I go to disk management it says 'dynamic disc invalid'

I have tried a couple of partition tools, but because the drive is greater than 2gb, they do not work with the drive.

I was hoping to convert/repair the partition without losing the data.

    Please advise

On initial install of the HDD on my previous OS (which was windows y - I re installed due to performance issues), I had to install the INTEL rapid Storage driver - which I have done this time.
I'm pretty sure after formatting - I had to change the disk to GPT

Did you choose to have dynamic disks? Do you want or need dynamic disks?

If not, look here to get back to ordinary "basic" disks:

Convert a Dynamic Disk to a Basic Disk
