Best Configeration Setup for noob .(Advice)

    Current Win7 32bit./Home Prem/ Current C drive has 60gb of OS /Apps /Files.

About to add SSD to system, and appreciate any input.
    840EVO 120gb SSD. to hold OS only > 1TB Western Black partitioned as 2 500gb(C & D) > Seagate 1TB usb3 for backups.
Do I only add OS inc user files to SSD and install security apps IE MalwareBytes full and AVG full and Superantspyware ,CCleaner etc to WD Cdrive. Also do i add user files DOCs,Photo,Music etc to WD Cdrive.???
Speed is not the essence for me, only security as i have had previous HD fail and Motherboard. PIA.
Will use migrate program Macrium Migrate or is Software inc in SSD sufficient.
Also once OS installed do I erase OS and files from C Drive.????
    Thanks Noob with some knowledge.LOL.

If you put the OS on SSD, it will be C, not the WD. The 2 partitions on WD will be D or E or F or G, etc.

Why are you splitting the WD into 2 partitions? Normally, I'd put OS and all apps on SSD; all data on single partition on WD, and all backups on single partition on Seagate

Do I only add OS inc user files to SSD and install security apps IE MalwareBytes full and AVG full and Superantspyware ,CCleaner etc to WD Cdrive.

If you put OS on SSD, I'd also put all possible applications on SSD. Why not? It's the fastest drive you've got.

Also do i add user files DOCs,Photo,Music etc to WD Cdrive.???

You can put personal data on any partition you want. I assume it won't all fit on SSD, therefore I'd probably put it all on WD, rather than have some on SSD and some on WD.

Not sure what you mean about "migrate program Macrium Migrate" or "software inc in SSD". If the SSD comes with software to move the system to it, I'd probably try that. But I'd first make an image of current install with Macrium Reflect Free Edition in case the software included with the SSD did not work as expected.

Disconnect all other drives before installing to the SSD. After the PC is up and running with the SSD alone, you can reconnect the WD. It will not be shown as C. You can then do as you wish with it--reformat, delete, copy stuff, etc.
