Windows 7: BlackX 5G Thermaltake external dock - HDD not regocnized

I plugged the dock into a laptop I have and the dock worked w/no problem. The problem seems to be USB 3 on my desktop that I built.

USB 3 failing - Asrock A75 Pro4-m


Not really solved...but the dock is not at fault.

Operating system install on external dock
Hey there everyone I am having a little trouble trying to figure out how to install an operating system on a hard drive that is externally docked on my multi-function HDD Dock that is connected usb. The hard drive is currently locked out from a virus. Any ideas? Thanks!

External Dock
Any body have suggestions on an external dock. Self powered with a sata connection. The ones I have been buying are lasting less than a year. If you box it up and ship it back, you have almost the price of a new one. I want one that the disk is easily unplugged and a different disk can be inserted.
