    P6X58D-E Motherboard Query

Can anyone advise me if the P6X58D-E motherboard has on-board graphics please? The reason I'm asking is because I'm registered blind and need to send my graphics card back and purchase a replacement and don't have a spare and wish to carry on using my PC.

    Many thanks,
    Graham

According to the ASUS Specs HERE this board does not have Video I/O on it, even though it supports Intel CPU's such as the i7 which does have built in video capability.

    Many thanks for that, appreciated.

I do have a i7 CPU in the machine though, so would I be able to use this?

With most i7 CPUs, you could.

But I'm not sure the i7-950 that you have includes built in graphics. The later models definitely do.

Thanks ignatzatsonic, that's really helpful :) What would have need to change in the Bios if needs be please?

I do really need to change my AMD R9 for a Nvidia card because I'm having issues with the new card which are getting me down :)

    Thanks again

    Runedog:

Notice my edited answer. I can't find any confirmation that your particular i7 has built in graphics. It's old as i7s go. The newer models have it, even most of the i5 line.

Unless you get confirmation that the i7-950 has built in graphics, you need a video card.

You can't change to an i5 or i7 with built in graphics unless you also change motherboards as far as I know.
