    W7, trying to boot off of usb, msi motherboard


    Hallo, I'm trying to boot off of an external harddrive on usb that has windows 7 on it, but I can't seem to get my computer to boot off of it..I have some pictures attached of my bios which Id think would be the only parts to enable booting from usb ..I'm not sure if there would be something else I may have missed that I need in order to just boot from my external harddrive? Thanks, any help is much appriciated ^_^

    Ok, so I set it again to boot to the toshiba, and it started booting to windows..now I have an error message that says 'windows failed to start, a recent hardware or software change might be the cause......status: 0xc0000225 Info: An unexpected error occured.' I'm not sure what I did wrong though @-@ I'm sure that I followed the guide that I found for booting windows 7 off a usb correctly, making the harddrive active, and extracting all of the files as well. I guess I have to do a bit of research on what I can do, or if anyone has any suggestions¿ thanks! ~Red.

    You can`t boot Windows 7 off a usb hard drive.
