    How do I get my USB ports to work again?


    I uninstalled Norton over a year ago and I think it took some of my drivers because since then I have spun my wheels trying to fix my favorite laptop.

    We could use a little more information as to model number etc. of your machine, in lieu of that here's the driver page from HP. Select your model number and see if they have drivers for your usb port(s).

USB 3 ports do not work

Confession: I bought an HP ENVY laptop with WIN-8. I hated it and replaced it with WIN-7 PRO Service Pack 1. The single USB2 port still works fine. The three USB3 ports do not work. I did not check them out before I replaced the operating system but I suppose they were supported with 8 but not 7....

A few minutes ago my TOSHIBA C655 USB ports were working fine not any of the two of them work now. I have tried many cords too. Can someone PLEASE help me?!
